Like many great Kiwi stories, ours started with a conversation. Back in 2003, under the sun in the Coromandel, a couple of bach owners began chatting about the joys—and challenges—of renting out their holiday homes. The freedom of owning a bach was undeniable. The admin? Not so much.
Managing bookings, fielding late-night guest queries, organising cleaners, coordinating maintenance, and staying on top of pricing—it was quickly turning into a full-time job for someone who already had one. So, they imagined a smarter way; and just like that, Bachcare was born.
